A child has died from the flu in Louisiana, health officials confirmed Dec. 22.
The Louisiana Health Department did not release any additional details about the child's age or location.
According to data from the CDC, as of Dec. 16, there have been 14 influenza-associated pediatric deaths in the past year. (WDSU 12/22/23)
