MS foreign land investors own 3.1%

Since 2020, private land owned by foreign investors in Mississippi has increased by 23%. A report from the United States Department of Agriculture released in November shows 942,435 acres in foreign hands as of December 2022, up from 747,267 in 2020. Foreign-owned land made up 3.1% of all acreage in the state and 3.8% of all the privately held property.
