Colonel Cynthia Smith, commander of the 186th Air Refueling Wing, passed the guidon in a change of command ceremony to Lt. Col. Doug Manley at Key Field Air National Guard Base, in Meridian, Miss., on Feb. 6. Manley assumed command of the 186th Maintenance Group.
Col. Robert Brady, commander of the 186th Operations Group, passed the guidon in a change of command ceremony to Col. Teresa Plotts at Key Field in Meridian on Feb. 4. Plotts assumed command of the 186th Operations Support Squadron.
Chief Master Sgt. Jason Mitchell received the Meritorious Service Medal at Key Field in Meridian in recognition of his achievement as Maintenance Superintendent, while deployed to the Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. OIR is the U.S. military's operational name for the military intervention against the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria in Iraq and Syria. (Source: 186th ARW 02/2022)
