The Coast Guard Foundation, a non-profit group committed to strengthening the Coast Guard by supporting members and families, announced its first tribute event of 2022 will take place in New Orleans on March 11. The event, which will honor members of the CG’s Eighth District, returns to the National WWII Museum for the first time since 2020. The Foundation will recognize the CG’s 2021 response to Cat-4 Hurricane Ida, which devastated a large swath of the Gulf Coast. Since 1994, the events have raised nearly $9M for Foundation programs that support CG members. The event will be March 11 at 7:30 p.m. at the National World War II Museum.
