WASHINGTON - The US House of Representatives approved an extended continuing resolution (CR) on Feb. 8 to keep the government funded for three weeks until March 11 averting a government shutdown. Funding was set to lapse on Feb. 18. The bill passed by a vote of 272-to-162. The measure now heads to the Senate, which is expected to pass it before Feb. 18 deadline. (Source: NY Times 02/09/22)
