Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin appointed Dr. Eric D. Evans to chair the Defense Science Board (DSB). Evans was sworn-in Feb. 14. He is the Director of Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Lincoln Laboratory, a federally funded research and development center focusing on advanced technology development and system prototyping for national security needs. As DBS chair, Evans will lead a group that provides independent advice and recommendations on matters concerning science, technology, manufacturing, acquisition process, and special interest topics to DoD.
