NASA’s Perseverance rover safely landed on Mars after its 292.5 million-mile - 6+ month - journey, the agency confirmed at 2:55 p.m. CT on Feb. 18. The rover landed flawlessly, according to the mission's team. "Percy," as the spacecraft is affectionately known at mission control, sent back its first images of the landing site right after touchdown, which showed its shadow on the surface of the landing site of Jezero Crater.
