Fixed Base Operator (FBO) and maintenance provider Southern Sky Aviation, based out of Birmingham Ala., has expanded its Aviation On Ground (AOG) service with a second mobile unit and team that will serve customers from Panama City, Fla., to New Orleans. Randy Radford is the new AOG team leader for the Gulf Coast region. Southern Sky President Donald Howell says many of the firm’s customers that use its repair station in Birmingham are based across the Gulf Coast. “We have seen strong growth in aircraft ownership all over the Southeast," Howell said. "The additional AOG team will help meet demand in the Gulf Coast area.” Southern Sky operates an FBO in Moss Point, Missi., at Trent Lott International Airport, and will open a second FBO at Northwest Florida Beaches International Airport in Panama City in late 2023.
