COLUMBUS, Miss. - Joseph Daughtry is expected to be named chief of police in Columbus at a city council meeting Nov. 15. Daughtry previously was chief of police in Natchez. He is president of the Mississippi Association of Chiefs of Police. His career in law enforcement spans more than 25 years in Pelahatchie, Rankin County, Hinds County, Jackson and in New Orleans.
