After a two-year pandemic draught, the National Flight Academy announced the return of its immersive, STEM-based programming schedule for 2022. National Flight Academy is a program of the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation located on Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla. The NFA's flagship program is a 6-day, 5-night deployment for rising seventh to 12th-grade students. Attendees live aboard the virtual aircraft carrier AMBITION, a four-story structure, complete with accommodations for up to 144 students who are referred to as AMBITION eXperimental Pilots. Students plan and complete missions using a variety of STEM-based concepts through critical thinking, problem-solving, teamwork and effective communication. Tuition is $1,500 per student. Deployments begin at noon Sundays and end at noon Fridays with a graduation ceremony in the National Naval Aviation Museum's Blue Angels Atrium. Summer 2022 Deployment Dates: May 22 to 27; May 29 to June 3; June 19 to June 24; July 17 to July 22; July 31 to Aug. 5; and Aug. 7 to 12. Registration is at nationalflightacademy.com.
