NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard medically evacuated (mevaced) a passenger from the cruise ship Carnival Glory about 87 miles SW of New Orleans on Oct. 9. CG Sector New Orleans received a call Saturday night from the cruise ship stating that a 45-year-old male passenger was reportedly suffering from internal complications and needed medical care. A CG Air Station New Orleans MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew was launched. The aircrew hoisted the passenger, and transported him to University Medical Center New Orleans.
