Air Force pilots are creating exciting personalized artwork to adorn their helmets after the AF relaxed restrictions in an effort to improve esprit de corps, morale and empower the junior ranks. The result: Helmet decals that are designed to represent squadrons or airframes that wear them. The helmet phenomenon is gathering steam, and the feeling among AF pilots is that it's going to become a big deal. The initial one-year waiver expired in October, but has become an indefinite waiver. F-15, F-16, F-22, and A-10 squadrons, and a growing number of other air forces, are going all-out.
