TUPELO, Miss. - The deadline for NE Mississippi non-profits and food pantries, impacted by COVID-19, to complete the eligibility quiz for CARES Act funding is Dec. 15. That’s the last day for interested applicants to create an account and complete eligibility. The deadline for full application submission is Jan. 15. As part of the Community Foundations’ COVID-19 Grant Program for Non-profits and Food Pantries, the CREATE Foundation oversees distribution of about $1.6M in Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act) funds. Half of the funds go to non-profits and the other half for food pantries across 21 Mississippi counties.
