The Lafayette County (Miss.) School District announced June 14 of the hiring of Jay Foster to be the district’s new school superintendent. The decision comes about two months after current superintendent, Dr. Adam Pugh, announced his retirement. Foster is coming from duty as superintendent of Senatobia (Miss.) Municipal Schools. Foster lives in Lafayette County with his wife, Jennifer, who will join the Lafayette Elementary School faculty in the fall. (Source: Oxford Eagle 06/14/21)
