The 81st Operational Medical Readiness Squadron guidon was unfurled during a redesignation ceremony Sept. 30 inside Keesler Medical Center at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. In an effort to meet Defense Department policy to increase operational medical readiness and duty availability for active duty personnel, while continuing to ensure the delivery of quality health care, the 81st OMRS replaced the 81st Aerospace Medicine Squadron.
