The New Year begins with colder temperatures across Mississippi, especially after darkness. Highs will range from the 40s upstate to the 60s along the Gulf Coast.
On Monday night, northern counties will drop into the lower 20s with freezing temperatures stretching all the way to the coastal counties.
The next chance for rain comes Wednesday. Although most of the moisture should move out before Wednesday night.
With temps in the 20s for some of the state, that could see a chance of snow flurries or some other wintry precipitation. (Magnolia State Live 01/01/24)
