It's going to be a wet week in Mississippi. There are a couple of weather models showing the potential for strong storms, and the Storm Prediction Center has issued a risk area for severe weather.
According to the Storm Prediction Center, southern Mississippi, mainly from a line from Natchez, Heidelberg, and Quitman stretching to the Gulf Coast, is now under a Level 1 risk from the afternoon and evening on Jan. 24. The main risks are hail, damaging winds, and torrential rainfall. (Magnolia State Live 01/23/24) Mississippi Skies: Plenty of rainy weather this week.
