SAF subsidy coming from Ag dept

US Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack is confident that the Treasury Department will release guidance by the end of 2023 to facilitate subsidies for sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) made from corn-based ethanol. 

The guidance is part of the Inflation Reduction Act, requiring SAF producers to demonstrate a significant reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared to petroleum fuel to qualify for tax credits.
