IDA IS A CAT 1 HURRICANE

A hurricane watch is in effect for New Orleans and most of west Louisiana's coast. The system is now a CAT 1 hurricane and expected to make landfall Sunday on the Gulf Coast - possibly as a CAT 3 - between Port Arthur, Texas, and Biloxi, Mississippi, with an emphasis on the Louisiana coast, but tracking could change between now and Sunday.
