PETAL, Miss. - Ritchie Yang graduated from Petal High School with the highest ACT score in the school. Recently, he was selected as one of only two Mississippi students to earn a U.S. Presidential Scholar. A total of 161 high school seniors nationwide were selected by the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars. He is also Pearl's first Presidential Scholar in history. This summer, the Presidential Scholars Class of 2022 will gather virtually to be recognized. Yang is headed to Stanford University with the goal of pursuing a double major in statistics and computer science, and "I’m also pursuing a coterminal degree with a master’s in business administration.” (Source: WDAM 05/18/22)
