JACKSON, Miss. - The Mississippi Veterans Affairs Board announced, in a media release, on May 13 the resignations of its Executive Director and Chief of Staff. Executive Director Stacey Pickering has decided to retire from state government. Chief of Staff Melissa Wade will pursue other opportunities outside of the VA. MSVA Deputy Director Mark Smith will serve as interim Executive Director while the Board begins searching for a new chief of staff for the agency. (Source: WLBT 05/13/22)
