NTTC Meridian's flagship award

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Naval Education and Training Command (NETC) announced winners of its 2019 Community Service Health, Safety and Fitness Flagship Award on Feb. 5. Part of the Navy’s Community Service Program; and Community Service Health, Safety and Fitness Flagship Award recognizes the best program that teaches and encourages individuals to lead healthy, active lifestyles. NETC, the award flag sponsor, recognized 11 commands for their efforts. The 2019 Community Service Health, Safety, and Fitness Flagship Award winners by category are in the Shore Command Category: Small command honorable mention: Naval Technical Training Center, Meridian, Miss. Medium honorable mention: Naval Air Station Whiting Field, Fla.; Large honorable mention: Naval Air Technical Training Center, Pensacola, Fla. Naval Education and Training Professional Development Center (NETPDC) at Saufley Field in Pensacola manages the awards program, and selected winners from around the world who made lasting impacts on their communities.
