Notes from NASM: New Fire Chief Christopher J. Sparks joined the command Jan. 21. He replaced retired Fire Chief Andrew Clayton. Sparks, an Air Force veteran, has worked in the fire services industry for 28 years. He comes to Meridian from Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. NASM’s First Class Petty Officer Association will be conducting a Stennis Drive Highway clean up from 8-10 a.m. starting at the front gate on Feb. 22. The FCPOA is also looking for volunteers.
