Meridian, NOLA clinics’ changes

FALLS CHURCH, Va. - The Department of Defense announced Feb. 19 plans to restructure 50 military hospitals and clinics to better support wartime readiness of military personnel and to improve clinical training for medical forces who deploy in support of combat operations around the world. The FY 2017 military treatment facility right-sizing breakdown includes the Gulf Coast’s NBHC Meridian, Miss., and NBHC Belle Chase, La., outpatient facilities to an Active Duty only and Occupational Health clinic. Active Duty Family Members (ADFM) will be enrolled as necessary to round out the physician panels and maintain readiness. All base support functions and pharmacy workload will be maintained.
