G&G Steel Inc., Russellville, Alabama, was awarded a $17,954,670 firm-fixed-price contract for fabrication and delivery of Demopolis Lock and Coffeeville Lock lower miter gates and spare parts. Bids were solicited via the internet with one received. Work will be performed in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, with an estimated completion date of July 21, 2027. Fiscal 2023 civil operation and maintenance funds in the amount of $17,954,670 were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Ala., is the contracting activity.
