LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. – May 7 will be the groundbreaking date for the largest economic development project in Mississippi history: The $2.5M Aluminum Dynamics mill. The mill will be located near the Golden Triangle Regional Airport in Columbus. Steel Dynamics, owner of the mill, will create 1,000 jobs over the next seven years, along with spin-off jobs at the mega site. (WCBI 02/10/23)
