Conrad cuts steel for GL dredge

Morgan City, La.-based Conrad Shipyard held a steel cutting ceremony recently for a new suction hopper dredge being built for the Great Lakes (Ill.) Dredge & Dock Corp. The 6,500-cubic yard trailing suction hopper dredge is scheduled for delivery at the of the 2nd quarter of 2023. The 346-foot long dredge will feature two 800mm suction pipes, and be able to dredge at depths of up to 100 feet.
