MS going for No.1 in infections

Mississippi is heading for a title nobody wants:  Overtaking Florida to becoming No. 1 for new coronavirus infections per capita, according to Harvard research. The Magnolia State already faces high levels of diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and obesity. - all specific to the coronavirus pandemic and "layered on top of our existing challenges," says Dr. LouAnn Woodward, director at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. By multiple measurements, the coronavirus will continue to worsen in Mississippi, Woodward told All Things Considered.
