EPA to grant La. non-profit $13M

DALLAS – The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Rep. Troy Carter (D-La.) will celebrate a $13M million grant to the Deep South Center for Environmental Justice in New Orleans at 10 a.m. (CT) on Aug. 14. 

The grant will help community-based organizations throughout the South access funding from the Biden-Harris Administration’s historic Investing in American agenda. 

The event will be held on the third floor of The Shop at the Contemporary Arts Center at 900 Camp St. in New Orleans. 

Participants will include EPA Region 6 Chief of Staff Iris Gonzalez, EPA Region 4 Acting Regional Administrator Jeanneanne Gettle, Rep. Carter and Dr. Beverly Wright, Founder & Executive Director of the Deep South Center for Environmental Justice. (EPA 08/10/23)
