Holiday Express train coming through Mississippi
The Canadian Pacific Kansas City Holiday Express train, a favorite holiday tradition is on track to bring Christmas cheer to Meridian, Pearl and Vicksburg, Miss., in November.
The festive holiday train with intricate displays is bringing Santa Claus and his elves to visit children and families across the country.
The Mississippi schedule:
* Pearl (Jackson) — Saturday, Nov 25, at 4 p.m. at the CPKC Yard, 201 Industrial Park Dr.
* Meridian — Sunday, Nov 26, at 4 p.m., at Union Station, 1901 Front St.
* Vicksburg — Monday, Nov 27, at 4 p.m. at Levee Street Station 1000 Levee St. at the foot of Grove St.

Union seeks to represent nurses @ UMC New Orleans
National Nurses United, the largest union of registered nurses in the country, is seeking to represent 750 nurses employed by University Medical Center in New Orleans. The group filed a formal request to unionize with federal National Labor Relations Board on Oct. 12, kicking off a process that could create the only nurses' union at a hospital in the state of Louisiana.
