Louisiana is in line to receive significant federal monies to keep the lights on when the grid goes down, federal officials announced Oct. 23.
Entergy will get some of the funds to make its poles and equipment more resilient but, as Mark Ballard explains, most of the money will go to community resilience hubs powered by solar and backup battery storage. (NOLA.com 10/24/23)
