Pontotoc Electric Power Association (PEPA) became the first Mississippi power company to install a fast-charging electric vehicle station. It's part of TVA's Fast Charge Network to deploy public fast chargers at least every 50 miles along interstates and major highways across its 7-state service area. The charging station is located at 3600 Highway 9 North in Pontotoc. (PEPA Facebook 07/20/23)
Pontotoc is about 18 miles west of Tupelo, Miss.
