Olive Branch top 50 place to live

Olive Branch, Miss., has landed on Fortune's 50 Best Places to Live for Families. The Memphis suburb came in at No. 36 and drew praise for the "elite schools" in the area.

According to Fortune: "The city’s school system, part of the DeSoto County School District, consistently achieves high academic standards. Students benefit from small class sizes and a wide range of extracurricular activities, both of which contribute to a quality education for Olive Branch kids.

Fortune created its second-year rankings from a list of more than 1,900 cities and towns with a population of at least 20,000 residents using five primary categories: education, aging resources, general wellness, financial health and livability.

Cambridge, Massachusetts, home of Harvard University, placed first on the list. In the Mid-South, Little Rock, Arkansas, and Smyrna, Tennessee, also made the list, landing at 42nd and 46th, respectively. (Commercial Appeal 06/21/23) Mississippi city on Fortune's list of Best Places to Live for Families (hattiesburgamerican.com)
