NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard rescued three boaters April 19 after a vessel collision near Bay St. Louis, Miss. Coast Guard Sector Mobile (Ala.) received a report of a 53-foot yacht and a tug, carrying two barges, were involved in a collision. The CG launched a Gulfport, Miss.-based 45-foot Response Boat. The response boatcrew embarked three boaters from the yacht and transported them to Bay St. Louis. One boater sustained injuries during the collision and was in critical condition. and transported by EMS to a higher level of medical care. The other two boaters were last reported in stable condition. The tug reported no injuries, pollution or damage. (Coast Guard 04/20/23)
