GULFPORT, Miss. - Sixteen small, minority-owned businesses each received Shine a Light Grant worth $1,000 apiece via the Mississippi Gulf Coast Chamber Foundation in partnership with Mississippi Power. “Small business in general drives the economy," said Mississippi Power Foundation executive Steve Dick, "but helping minority, small businesses that may not be able to have the availability of capital.
