Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III announced Dec. 14 that the president has nominated Marine Corps Reserve Col. Valerie A. Jackson for appointment to the rank of brigadier general. Jackson currently serves as Vice Chief of Staff at the Marine Forces Reserve HQ in New Orleans. (Source: DoD 12/14/21)
