Rolls-Royce has multi-million dollar plans to upgrade its capability and capacity for the Navy’s ship propulsion components at its facility in Pascagoula, Miss. The company agreed with the move along with the Defense Production Act Title III office. The DPA office has agreed to invest $22M for equipment, with Rolls-Royce making an additional investment for building improvements, supplemented with support from Jackson County and the state. Daniel Rediger, Rolls-Royce, head of naval operations, said: "This community partnership … is a major success for all involved.” Jackson County will add new, highly skilled jobs and a secure future for local industry.
