Gregory named new ECCC prez

DECATUR, Miss. - East Central Community College has named Brent Gregory as its next president – ECCC's ninth. He will assume the role on July 1, succeeding current president Billy Stewart, who announced his retirement. Gregory graduated from ECCC in 1996, and holds a bachelor’s degree in physical education and a master’s degree in workforce training and development from the University of Southern Mississippi. He also holds a doctorate in community college leadership from Mississippi State University. He has served as VP for student services at Southwest Mississippi Community College since 2017. ECCC primarily serves Newton, Neshoba, Leake, Scott and Winston counties in Mississippi. (Source: The AP 03/12/20)
