AF pilot becomes Miss America

UPDATE: Madison Marsh made history at the 2024 Miss America competition this past weekend. The 22-year-old, who is a certified pilot and a 2nd lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force, not only won the crown but made history as the first active-duty officer to do so.


Air Force 2nd lt. Madison Marsh is a fighter pilot training to be a Top Gun could also be crowned the next Miss America. 

The Arkansas native learned to fly and got her pilot's license at age 17. 

The 22-year-old Harvard University student was crowned Miss Colorado last May, just before graduating from the United States Air Force Academy and commissioning as an Air Force officer.
