Jackson Zoo spring break camp

The Jackson (Miss.) Zoo Spring Break Camp, a program for youth ages 6 through 12, is back for the first time in several years. Angela White, Jackson Zoo's recreation manager and development director, said the camp started seven years ago but was temporarily suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The camp will be held daily from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. March 13-16Children will learn about the animals at the zoo and there will be tours, recreational activities, carousel rides, educational enrichment programs, arts and crafts, and zookeepers will spend 15-20 minutes with campers daily and teach about all the animals at the zoo and those that are native to Mississippi. A maximum of 20 campers will be registered for the program.
