Eymard Marine Construction, Harvey, La., delivered the 1,600-hp towboat, the Isabella Juliette, to the Lydia Ann Channel Fleet (LAC Fleet) in Rockport, Texas. The towboat’s main propulsion is provided by two 800-hp Mitsubishi S6R2 engines supplied by Covington, La.-based Laborde Products. ESC keel-laying for NY ferry
Eastern Shipbuilding Group (ESG) held a keel authentication ceremony at its Allanton Shipyard in Panama City, Fla., for a new 302-foot passenger/vehicle ferry for the Bridgeport & Port Jefferson Steamboat Co., of Port Jefferson, N.Y. Steel cutting began in January and delivery is scheduled for 2024. The ferry will operate between Bridgeport, Conn., and Port Jefferson on New York's Long Island. (Work Boat 03/15/23)
