LLOG Exploration Company, a Covington-based firm, has begun production at a pair of wells in the Gulf of Mexico collectively known as Spruance Field. They are producing a combined daily total of 16,000 barrels of oil and 13M cubic feet of natural gas. The wells are located in Ewing Bank, a Gulf of Mexico formation about 60 miles from Louisiana's coast.
