LA braces for LNG boom, emissions

A report outlining environmental impacts of America's roaring liquefied natural gas export industry suggests 25 impending LNG projects could spew out up to 90M tons of greenhouse gases a year. Twelve of those 25 sites would be in Louisiana. The 90M total is equivalent to 18M passenger vehicles running for an entire year, the report said. That's more than could be generated in a year by all vehicles in the state of Florida.
