Damen Shipyards Group has concluded a license agreement with Morgan City, La.-based Conrad Industries. The agreement will see Conrad Shipyard construct two Damen Multi Cats 3013s for the Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Corp. The two vessels will be the first Damen Multi Cats to be built in United States. Fully compliant with Coast Guard and Army Corps of Engineers stability criteria, the Multi Cats will be used for dredging support operations. Construction begins in Morgan City on July 13.
