Solid rocket fuel innovator Adranos Inc is slated to invest $1.35M to expand its rocket motor research and development operations in McHenry, Miss., and to create 25 additional jobs. Adranos' operations in on a 640-acre, 7-building complex formerly occupied by General Dynamics about 50 NE of the Stennis Space Center in Mississippi. The company cited the location’s proximity to Stennis, and its compliance with all Defense Department safety requirements for munitions handling, as the primary reasons for choosing the south Mississippi location. Adranos constructed a rocket motor test stand at the site to test its next-generation rocket fuel. Mississippi Development Authority and the Stone County Economic Development Partnership are providing assistance for building improvements as an incentive.
