Dr. Joseph Paul, a former VP for Student Affairs at the University of Southern Mississippi, will come out of retirement to serve as interim president of the state’s third-largest public university. The Institutions of Higher Learning board of trustees announced June 30 that Paul, who served at USM for over 40 years, would serve as interim president replacing former President Rodney Bennett.
