Airbus Helicopters Inc. (AHI) delivered the first UH-72B variant of its Lakota helicopter to the Army National Guard (ANG) from its production facility in Columbus, Miss. The delivery was the first of 18 UH-72Bs currently on order to support the NG. The UH-72B is the latest iteration of the off-the-shelf aircraft that has been the Army’s Light Utility Helicopter (UH-72A) since the first Lakota contract with AHI in 2006.
