NEW ORLEANS - The Coast Guard medevaced a 29-year-old female from a cruise ship Dec. 3 on the Mississippi River near Port Sulphur, La. The CG got a call from the cruise ship Carnival Valor around 7:10 p.m. regarding a crewmember in need of immediate medical care. The CG launched an Air Station New Orleans MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew that hoisted the woman and transported her to West Jefferson Medical Center in Marrero, La., in stable condition.
