Raytheon Intelligence & Space in Virginia sold its training and services business to the Radison, Miss.-based Vertex Aerospace company. Vertex provides aviation lifecycle support, including design, engineering and manufacturing services for the aerospace and defense industries. The acquired business is known as the Vertex Technology & Training Solutions Division. The deal was closed in early December and financial terms are not being disclosed. The announcement came days before Vertex announced a $2.1B merger with Colorado-based Vectrus Inc. The combined company, which will have a new name to be announced at a later date, will be headquartered in Virginia.
