CAMP SHELBY, Miss. - Camp Shelby is hosting 177 soldiers from the 477th Military Police Company that are preparing to deploy overseas for Operation Allies Welcome, a mission to process dislocated Afghans. “It is an honor that we were chosen for this. It is an honor for us to be the command team and we look forward to assisting the Afghan nationals when we get over there,” said Capt. Amy Spencer. The soldiers have been going through simulated scenarios they may encounter on a daily basis. It’s been a “great training experience,” said Company Commander Jennifer Etters. (Source: WDAM 09/13/21)
